Frequently Asked Questions
Why isn't Voice2Notion connecting to my Notion account?
Make sure you complete the full OAuth authorization flow in Safari. If the connection fails:
1. Go to Settings → Disconnect Notion, then try connecting again.
2. Check that you have an active internet connection.
3. In your Notion account under Settings → My connections, remove Voice2Notion and re-authorize.
If the issue persists, please email us with your iOS version and a brief description of where the flow stops.
Voice recognition isn't working or is inaccurate — what can I do?
Voice2Notion uses Apple's on-device Speech Recognition. Here are some tips:
• Speak clearly and at a normal pace.
• Ensure the microphone isn't blocked by a case or your hand.
• Check that Voice2Notion has microphone and speech recognition permissions in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.
• Try restarting the app. If transcription quality is consistently poor, restarting your device can help reset the speech engine.
My note was transcribed but didn't save to Notion. What happened?
This is usually a connectivity or permissions issue:
• Verify you have an internet connection when releasing the mic button.
• Check that the selected Notion database still exists and hasn't been deleted or moved.
• Re-open Settings and confirm your chosen destination is still showing correctly.
• If Voice2Notion shows an error message, please note it and email us — it helps us diagnose the exact cause.
How do I change which Notion database my notes are saved to?
Tap the Settings icon in the app. Under Save Destination, tap to browse your connected Notion workspace and select a different database or page. The change takes effect immediately on your next recording.
Can I edit my note before it's saved?
Yes. After releasing the mic button, the transcribed text appears in an editable field. You can tap to make corrections before tapping Save. If you do nothing, the note auto-saves after a short delay. Slide down to cancel and discard the note entirely.
Is my voice data stored or sent to your servers?
No. Audio is transcribed entirely on your device using Apple's Speech framework. Raw audio never leaves your device and is never sent to our servers. Only the final transcribed text is forwarded to Notion via their official API.
Your Notion OAuth token is stored securely in the iOS Keychain and never transmitted to us. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I disconnect my Notion account?
Go to Settings → Disconnect Notion inside the app. This removes the stored OAuth token from your device. To fully revoke access, also visit your Notion account under Settings → My connections and remove Voice2Notion from there.
Voice2Notion doesn't appear in my Notion connections list.
The integration only appears in Notion after you complete the OAuth authorization at least once. Open Voice2Notion, go to Settings, and tap Connect Notion. If you've already connected but don't see it in Notion, try disconnecting and reconnecting from within the app.
