Notex Terms of Use
By downloading or using Notex, you agree to these terms and Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
License and purpose
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Notex on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these terms and applicable App Store rules. Notex creates and edits Markdown workspaces and can connect to iCloud Drive or a NoteX server you configure.
Your content and responsibilities
- You retain responsibility for your notes, attachments, server, credentials, API keys, calendar subscriptions, and other content.
- Connect only to systems and services you own or are authorized to use.
- Keep devices, pairing codes, credentials, network connections, and servers secure.
- Maintain backups and review conflicts before deleting or replacing files.
- Comply with applicable law and third-party service terms.
Acceptable use
Do not use Notex for unauthorized access, unlawful or infringing content, malware, disruption, or attempts to bypass service security. Do not redistribute or reverse engineer the app except where applicable law permits.
Third-party services and network risk
Notex may use Apple services and may communicate with iCloud, a server you choose, public calendar providers, Doubao when configured, email, and the App Store. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. Network quality, third-party availability, transcription accuracy, server administration, and synchronization conflicts are outside our control.
Purchases and subscriptions
Pro features may be offered through monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions or a one-time lifetime purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings and restore eligible purchases in the app.
- Prices and availability vary by storefront. Refunds are handled under Apple’s policies.
- The lifetime product is a non-consumable purchase, not a subscription.
Availability and changes
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every file, server, device, network, or third-party service, or preservation of data.
Disclaimer and liability
Notex is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Notex and its developer are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, access, profits, or business arising from use of the app.
Termination, changes, and contact
You may stop using Notex at any time. We may restrict access to services we operate for a material violation or where required by law. We may update these terms and will revise the date above.
