Requirements

Quick start

  1. Open Notex and choose a local or iCloud workspace.
  2. Create a memo or note. Your workspace is stored as ordinary Markdown files.
  3. Use folders and nested pages to organize notes.
  4. Add date properties to see records in Calendar.
  5. Optionally connect to a NoteX Mac from Settings using the pairing code shown on the Mac.

Troubleshooting

iCloud notes are missing or still downloading

Confirm iCloud Drive is enabled for Notex, keep the device online, open Files to check the Notex folder, and refresh the workspace. Large attachments and placeholder files may need time to download.

The Mac does not appear

Keep both devices on the same local network, enable Local Network access for Notex, and confirm NoteX is open on the Mac. You can enter the address and port shown by the Mac manually.

Pairing or connection fails

Generate a new six-digit pairing code and try again. If the Mac was reinstalled or its certificate changed, remove the saved connection and pair again only after confirming the Mac is trusted.

Dictation does not work

Enable Microphone and Speech Recognition access in system settings. Apple speech recognition may depend on device and language availability. For Doubao, verify your own API key and resource ID.

A purchase is missing

Open the Pro screen and choose Restore Purchases. Confirm the device uses the Apple Account that made the purchase. Manage monthly or yearly subscriptions in Apple Account subscription settings.

A file conflict appears

Notex avoids silently overwriting externally changed files. Compare the versions, keep the content you need, and maintain a separate backup for important workspaces.
