Privacy Policy
nomo ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the nomo iOS application.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
- Notion OAuth token: When you connect your Notion account, we receive and securely store an OAuth access token to read and update your database entries on your behalf. We do not store your Notion credentials.
- Notion database content: nomo reads date properties and page titles from the Notion databases you choose to display. This data is only used to render your calendar and is not retained on our servers.
- Analytics data: We use Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymized usage data, including app interactions, feature usage frequency, session duration, device model, OS version, and general app performance metrics. This data is collected in aggregate and cannot be used to identify you personally.
- Crash reports: Firebase Crashlytics may automatically collect crash logs and diagnostic data (device type, OS version, app version, stack traces) to help us identify and fix bugs.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate with Notion and read/write content in your chosen databases
- To display your Notion pages as calendar entries on your device
- To sync date changes when you drag and reschedule entries
- To understand how the app is used and improve the user experience
- To diagnose crashes and fix technical issues
- To respond to your support requests
3. Notion Integration
nomo connects to Notion via the official Notion API using OAuth 2.0. By authorizing the app, you grant nomo permission to read and update content in the Notion databases you select. You can revoke this access at any time from your Notion account settings under Settings → My connections.
We only request the minimum Notion permissions necessary to provide the service. We do not access Notion content beyond the databases you explicitly choose to display in nomo.
4. Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics
nomo uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, services provided by Google LLC. These SDKs may collect the following information automatically:
- Device identifiers (Instance ID)
- Device type, model, and operating system version
- App version and bundle identifier
- In-app events and screen views (no personal or Notion content is included)
- Session duration and engagement metrics
- Crash logs and stack traces (for Crashlytics)
Firebase Analytics does not collect advertising identifiers (IDFA) unless you explicitly opt in via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. We do not use Firebase for advertising purposes.
Data collected by Firebase is processed by Google in accordance with their Privacy Policy. You can learn more about how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your Notion OAuth token is stored securely in Apple's Keychain on your device. We use industry-standard encryption for any data transmitted between the app and Notion's servers.
We do not operate our own backend servers to store your personal data or Notion content. All calendar data is fetched directly from Notion and displayed on your device. Analytics data is stored and processed by Google's Firebase infrastructure.
6. Third-Party Services
- Notion API: Content is sent to and received from Notion's servers per their Privacy Policy.
- Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (Google LLC): Anonymized usage and crash data is processed by Google per their Privacy Policy and Firebase Privacy documentation.
- Apple frameworks: The app uses standard iOS frameworks for networking and display per Apple's privacy practices.
7. Children's Privacy
nomo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
8. Your Rights
You may:
- Revoke Notion access at any time via Notion account settings
- Delete the app to remove all locally stored data including your OAuth token
- Opt out of analytics data collection by adjusting your device's privacy settings under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
- Contact us to request deletion of any data we may hold
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
