NetSpeed Privacy Policy

NetSpeed provides a live view of your network speed and latency on your Lock Screen, Dynamic Island, and Picture-in-Picture. We take privacy seriously and minimize data collection.

Data We Collect

NetSpeed minimizes data collection. The app performs network speed tests and displays results on-device.

Network Test Results: Download speed, upload speed, and latency results are processed and displayed locally on your device.
Diagnostics (optional): If you choose to contact support, you may share diagnostic details in your email. We only use this to respond to your request.
App Diagnostics & Analytics (via Firebase): We use Firebase (a Google service) to help us understand app stability and usage. This may include crash logs, performance data, app instance ID, device model, OS version, app version, country/region, and basic usage events. This data is used only to improve reliability and product quality.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not create user accounts.
We do not collect names, emails (unless you contact support), or phone numbers.
We do not track your browsing activity across other companies' apps or websites.
We do not use Firebase or any other third-party service for advertising or ad targeting.

Permissions

Network Access: Required to run speed tests and detect Wi-Fi or Cellular status.
Live Activities / Dynamic Island: Used to show live speed results on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island (iOS 16.2+ and supported devices).
Picture-in-Picture: Used to show the floating window across apps (iOS 15+).

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. Limited diagnostic and analytics data may be processed by Firebase as our service provider to help operate and improve the app.

Third-Party Services

NetSpeed uses Firebase (Google LLC) for app diagnostics and analytics. Firebase may process the data described above under Google’s privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

NetSpeed is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
